We are seeking a Government Program Manager (GPM) to ensure compliant project delivery for U.S. Government customers, including the Department of War, other Federal Government agencies and commercial industry partners. The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with cross-functional teams in planning, executing and delivering on program budgets and schedules. Xona’s GPM must be able to analyze and assess solicitation requirements, working closely with internal and external teams, draft proposals, and align these activities to Xona’s overall business objectives.

Requirements (On site)

  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (i.e., Green Card holder or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOW SECRET clearance.

  • Program or project management experience.

  • Proven success coordinating across diverse technical teams and external stakeholders.

  • Schedule & Deliverables: Manage program timelines, dependencies, and milestones to keep programs on track.

  • Cross-Team Coordination: Facilitate communication across operations and business teams to ensure deliverables are met.

  • Supplier & Customer Interface: Work closely with government customers to synchronize schedules, technical requirements, and deliverables.

  • Customer Milestones: Track and ensure that commitments and delivery timelines to customers are achieved.

  • Risk Management: Identify, communicate, and work with leadership and technical teams to proactively resolve risks and blockers.

  • Leadership Interface: Provide regular updates to the leadership team, escalating issues and proposing solutions to maintain program momentum.

  • Process Development: Collaborate with team members in the Program Management function to improve processes, tools, and reporting structures to scale with the company’s growth.

  • Ability to work in a startup or fast-paced environment where things can move and evolve rapidly.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, resolve conflicts, and keep complex programs on track.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military or Federal Government service or Department of War experience.

  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience.

  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification.

  • PMP, AGILE training or other relevant certifications.

For U.S. Roles: To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

For U.K. Roles: To comply with U.K. regulations, this role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, and successful candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

For Canada Roles: Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

Compensation Range: $130K - $180K
