Job Summary:
As a Systems Engineer IV, you will be a key technical contributor to our cutting-edge signals intelligence systems. You will design, develop, and integrate the next generation of SIGINT software and hardware, taking ownership of critical system components from concept through deployment. This role offers the opportunity to work within multidisciplinary teams, solve complex technical problems, and interface with customers to ensure mission success.
Responsibilities:
Technical Execution & Mentorship:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on systems and software engineering tasks.
- Work closely with program management and senior engineers to identify and mitigate complex technical challenges.
- Execute complex engineering tasks as a key member of the project team.
System Design & Development:
- Contribute to the architecture and lead the design and integration of advanced SIGINT systems and subsystems.
- Perform design, development, integration, test, and analysis of signal processing algorithms and capabilities.
- Incorporate rigorous Systems Engineering processes, including requirements development, flow-down, verification, and validation.
- Perform technical trade studies and develop risk management plans for system components.
- Apply your technical knowledge in Signal Processing Architectures, Digital Signal Processing, and Software Architecture.
Business & Programmatic Contribution:
- Contribute to proposal generation, developing technical solutions, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Interface directly with technical peers, program managers, and external customers.
Requirements:
- Seven (7) or more years of engineering experience, with at least four (4) years focused on signal collection and signal processing systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with software-defined radios (SDRs) and their application in SIGINT systems.
- Knowledge of wireless communications systems and protocols (e.g., AM, FM, BPSK, QPSK, QAM).
- Experience with modeling and simulation of signal processing algorithms.
- A strong understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals related to antennas and receiving systems.
Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to work effectively in technical teams and take ownership of complex tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and small-team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An active DoD SCI Security Clearance.
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Understanding of and experience with SIGINT direction-finding systems.
- Experience with machine learning in embedded (or “edge”) environments.
- A track record of leading R&D efforts that have resulted in fielded capabilities, publications, or demonstrations.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience with electromagnetic simulation applications such as HFSS or FEKO

$131,025 - $176,907 USD
