Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shipping operations, including unloading, inspection, documentation, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods.
- Ensure all outbound shipments are accurate, properly labeled, and comply with internal procedures and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with production, planning, purchasing, and quality teams to support material flow and delivery schedules.
- Review purchase orders for required quality documents, and Understand quality clauses and associated documents.
- Prepare and review shipment packets for completed jobs ready to ship including bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of compliance, and other required records.
- Collect and verify material and process certifications.
- Understand quality clauses and associated documents.
- Schedule source inspections with customer and assist on-site source inspectors.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of materials in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Train, supervise, and support shipping and receiving staff, including workload assignment and performance oversight.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight providers to schedule pickups, resolve shipping issues, and ensure on-time delivery performance.
- Support audits and compliance activities by ensuring shipping and receiving records are complete and accurate.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations.
- 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems for inventory and shipping transactions (e.g., SAP,Oracle, JobBOSS or similar).
- Knowledge of shipping documentation, freight coordination, and warehouse operations.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, and shipping instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English.
- Proficient in basic computer systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 9001 / AS9100preferred).
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Experience supporting internal/external audits.
- Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory control best practices.
- Associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Ability to perform computer-based work for portions of the workday, including sitting forextended periods as needed.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and move throughout warehouse and production areas,including stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as required to perform essentialjob duties.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment that may include exposure tonoise, temperature variations, and standard industrial conditions.
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures and use required personal protective equipment(PPE) when required.
- Ability to work in both office and operational areas as needed to support shipping and receivingactivities.
Job Details
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
