Job Summary: The Facilities Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of facility operations across two Southern California locations, including interior and exterior operations, Environmental Health & Safety, and physical security, ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient environment that supports aerospace manufacturing. This role will support both the Ontario, CA (70%) and Riverside, CA (30%) platfom companies. The candidate must be willing and able to work onsite at both locations accordingly.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with full ownership of building systems, grounds, vendor relationships, maintenance programs, EHS initiatives, and site security infrastructure, requiring strong coordination of third-party service providers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

    Oversee full-site facility operations, including interior building systems and exterior grounds
    • Manage and maintain critical infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, compressed air, water, etc.)
    • Ensure upkeep of exterior areas, including landscaping, parking lots, lighting, and general site conditions
    • Coordinate repairs, inspections, and service schedules with external vendors and contractors
    • Support facility improvements, expansions, and equipment moves
    • Track and manage facility budgets, service contracts, and utility usage
    • Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for production equipment and machining centers (CNC mills, routers, ovens, etc.)
    • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility systems and building infrastructure
    • Troubleshoot and coordinate resolution of facility and equipment-related issues
    • Own relationships with and manage vendors, service providers, and maintenance contractors (janitorial, landscaping, security, utilities, equipment service, etc.)
    • Ensure service quality, cost control, and contract compliance across all external partners
    • Oversee and maintain the site’s EHS programs and compliance initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety standards
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to promote a safe working environment and continuous improvement in safety practices
    • Maintain and manage emergency response systems and protocols, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and evacuation procedures
    • Own and manage site physical security programs and infrastructure
    • Oversee access control systems, including badging, entry points, and employee/vendor access permissions
    • Manage and maintain video surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring processes
    • Evaluate and implement enhancements to security controls based on risk, compliance, and operational needs
    • Coordinate with security vendors or third-party providers as needed
    • Partner with operations, engineering, quality, planning, and supply chain teams to support production and facility needs

Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, plant maintenance, or plant engineering
    • Experience managing both building systems and manufacturing equipment
    • Proven experience managing vendors, service providers, and maintenance contractors
    • Experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial environment
    • Strong knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and utilities infrastructure
    • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems
    • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general EHS compliance requirements
    • Experience with or exposure to physical security systems (access control, CCTV, site security protocols)
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities simultaneously
    • Hands-on troubleshooting ability for facility and infrastructure-related issues
    • Must be willing and able to support two sites with regular onsite presence, working approximately 70% of the time in Ontario, CA and 30% onsite in Riverside, CA

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
    • Experience managing facility service contracts and vendor negotiations
    • Familiarity with capital projects, site upgrades, or facility expansions
    • Experience overseeing security, janitorial, landscaping, and other site services
    • Knowledge of energy management and cost optimization strategies
    • Experience implementing or improving site security programs or controls
    • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-growth manufacturing environment
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
