Role Overview
The Operations Manager is a critical leadership role focused on driving day-to-day execution of platform-wide operational initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role's focuses on establishing and managing the operational backbone through data-driven performance monitoring, building platform SOPs, and managing operational improvement projects and investments. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and capable of owning multiple complex projects end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Operations:
  • Performance tracking: Manage the company metric program and support monthly reviews and follow on action items
  • Strategic initiatives: Manage end-to-end platform projects that enable Canopy A&D to scale efficiently
  • M&A integration: Provide integration support for future acquisitions
  • Functional Management Support:
  • SOP development: Own the end-to-end creation of functional standards across the operating companies
  • Compliance: Track and manage key compliance requirements and company actions
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Investment oversight: Assist with managing investments and tracking ROI
  • Continual improvement: Continually identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and tooling across the platform and operating companies
  • Efficiency management: Advise platform leadership on how to do more with less

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Engineering or a related technical field
  • 3+ years in program management, operations, engineering preferably within a highly regulated manufacturing company
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced level user with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experienced building materials and presenting to executives
  • Track record of partnering with senior leadership and communicating complex initiatives clearly and concisely
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Government export licenses (ITAR/EAR compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or master’s degree in business, Engineering Management, Operations, or a related technical field
  • Prior experience in a startup, private-equity-backed, or high-growth manufacturing environment with evolving systems and processes
  • Experience working within A&D or similarly regulated industries (AS9100, ITAR/EAR, ISO, FDA, etc.) is a plus
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Total compensation will also include a comprehensive set of benefits including but not limited to: Company paid employee medical, dental and vision insurance. Retirement plan participation (eligibility required), paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:
To conform to US Government export regulations, the applicant must be a (i) US Citizen, (ii) lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (aka green card holder), (iii) protected individual as defined by U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or (iv) eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $160,000
Business Hours: Core Hours
Base Location: Riverside, CA, and/or Ontario, CA with a requirement to be onsite 2-3 days a week
Travel: As needed to various company facilities
